Does INSTANTCRYO™ comply with FEI regulations?

The current FEI regulations specify that cryotherapy is not permitted in the five days leading up to an FEI event and is also prohibited during such events. Compliance with these rules is at the discretion of the individual user.

FEI does state that cooling machines and equipment are permitted only if “the VC/VD can lock the devices so the temperature does not fall below 0°C.”

INSTANTCRYO™ releases C02 gas at -78 but locks when the skin surface temperature of the horse hits 4 degrees Celsius.

After being in contact with an FEI veterinarian, we agree that the FEI regulations regarding cryotherapy and the use of cooling equipment need to be reviewed and clarified.
